Our customer, a high-end home goods company, required a 25% increase in daily shipments to achieve their growth objectives. A tight installation requirement for a working facility presented timing challenges.
Solution
DAK redesigned this facility to increase pallet positions using wide-aisle, narrow-aisle, and double-deep pallet rack systems, seven levels high. A rolling installation schedule was used to meet a very tight window for implementation.
Results
Pallet positions were increased by 69,230, which allowed for a 25% increase in shipments per day—over 200 truckloads. A rolling installation schedule allowed for continued workflow without disrupting normal business operations.
