Increase distribution center space without building a new facility.

Solution

DAK suggested utilizing unused air space in the current facility by installing a structural work platform that would add storage capacity above the existing racking. This also included a hand-rail system and cut-outs for easier stock transfer.

Results

The platform added 24,500 square feet of space without disrupting daily operations and provided easier stock put away and order picking. A prefabricated office, which included HVAC and lighting, provided a cost effective solution to limited employee office space.
