MOVE YOUR COMMUNITY FORWARD

At the end of 2018, the leadership at RMH Systems, had a vision of seeing our employees reach out and have an impact in their local communities through a new volunteer program. The premise was simple: offer employees 8 hours of paid time off each year to get out and volunteer with any charitable organization that spoke to their interests, whether as individuals or collectively in small groups. In the six years since its inception, RMH Serves has grown to dedicate roughly 500 hours annually in our local communities across five states in the Midwest, helping organizations as big as Meals from the Heartland or Habitat for Humanity and as small as the Honk ‘n Quack Hunt Club in western Iowa. Our goal, with RMH Serves, is to continue to partner alongside organizations to continue to help improve the communities in which we live and work.

INTRODUCING RMH SERVES

At RMH Systems we know that giving back to the community is important, and that is why we implemented our RMH Systems Serves program. The RMH Serves program encourages employees to go out and make a difference in their communities through numerous volunteer opportunities in their area. We have paired with great organizations in the past, like the organizations below, and are looking forward to working with more in the future. RMH Serves provides employees with multiple opportunities to volunteer and encourages employees to share some of their favorite organizations with the company.

Here are some things our RMH Serves team did this year:

Packaged Meals at Meals From The Heartland

Built Houses with Habitat For Humanity

Volunteered with and collected donations for Waukee Area Christian Services

Held a Blood Drive for Life Serve

Spoke at Career Day at Local Area Middle School

Restocked shelves of food at Heartland Hope

Pulled weeds, planted beans, and spread mulch at Open arms of Minnesota

Volunteered for Track and Field Day at a local school district

Served meals for teachers on Teacher Appreciation Week at Local Area Elementary School

Coached in local area youth sports leagues

Provided support for Atlantic YMCA’s annual fundraiser

…and so much more!

Twin Cities Habitat For Humanity

Our team spent the day helping with two re-models in Edina, MN. Tasks completed during the day included installing a door, putting up drywall and mudding, mixing and pouring cement for a basement, framing a wall, painting, and several other various projects.

LifeServe Blood Drive

This year, our Waukee office held two blood drives. We’ve had over 31 total donors through those two drives, and we have another drive planned for January.

Waukee Area Christian Services

The Waukee Area Christian Services is a swiss army knife in terms of helping the needy within the Dallas County area in central Iowa. They have a food pantry where residents can get a week’s worth of groceries each month for their household, an anytime food area where a household can get daily supplemental food and supplies, a clothing closet with children’s clothing, a free clinic, and so much more. RMH Systems held several drives in 2024 to collect food, toys, and funds to support the work they do in our community.

Open Arms of Minnesota

Our Minnesota team got their hands and knees dirty, this spring helping the Open Arms of Minneosta organization by pulling weeds, planting beans, hauling bags of mulch, and spreading the mulch where it was needed.

Meals From The Heartland

RMH Systems hosted four groups of volunteers already this year at Meals From The Heartland. They spent their time packaging bulk boxes in their West Des Moines facility. Overall, our team helped to package over 500,000 meals for children and adults in need. And afterwards, our team received a tour of their warehouse, which RMH Systems helped equip.
