What Is a CDLR Conveyor?
A CDLR conveyor, or chain-driven live roller conveyor, uses interconnected rollers and drive chains to move and transfer heavy items, such as full pallets weighing several tons, large parts, or manufacturing materials. The rollers are connected by heavy-duty steel roller chain that drives steel sprockets for a controlled movement of the load.
Since it’s engineered to move much heavier loads than other conveyor styles, a chain-driven roller conveyor is often wider, has a larger motor, and needs to be inspected more frequently.
This style of warehouse conveyor is a good fit if your operations include full pallet distribution or automated storage and retrieval for full pallets.
